In Spring we had the opportunity to visit furniture maker Isokon Plus’ workshop here in London. Using traditional craftsmanship and modern manufacturing techniques, Isokon Plus produces iconic 1930s designs alongside contemporary pieces by a variety of renowned designers including Barber Osgerby, Michael Sodeau and Shin and Tomoko Azumi.  Based in Hackney Wick, Isokon Plus was first established in 1931 and is currently headed by Chris McCourt and Mark Smith.

During our visit we had the opportunity to see the manufacturing of a T46 coffee table designed by Hein Stolle – a favourite of ours.
